Graphic Design Intern

Overview 

Laborde Products is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our marketing team for Summer 2026. This is an in-person opportunity for a graduating senior or recent graduate looking to build a professional design portfolio while contributing to real marketing projects. 

This role is not observational. The intern will work directly with the marketing team to produce design assets used across the business, including advertising, social media, marketing materials, and internal communications. 

The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail oriented, and excited to see their design work used in real campaigns and publications. 
 

What You’ll Work On 

The Graphic Design Intern will assist the marketing department in producing a wide range of visual materials that support the company’s marketing, sales, and recruiting efforts. 

Projects may include: 

• Print advertisements and marketing materials 
• Social media graphics and digital content 
• Sales collateral and brochures 
• Event materials and trade show graphics 
• Internal communications and presentations 
• Website graphics and marketing visuals 

This role offers the opportunity to build a portfolio of published work while collaborating closely with an active marketing team. 

Responsibilities 

• Create visual assets that support marketing campaigns and brand initiatives 
• Design graphics for social media, advertising, presentations, and marketing materials 
• Assist with layout and formatting for brochures, spec sheets, and other sales collateral 
• Support the marketing team with design updates for the website and digital platforms 
• Prepare files for both print and digital use 
• Maintain brand consistency across all materials 
• Assist with organizing design assets and maintaining the marketing content library 
• Participate in marketing meetings and contribute creative ideas

• Organized and able to manage multiple projects 

Preferred Skills 

Candidates should have working knowledge of design fundamentals and experience using professional design software. 

Preferred experience includes: 

• Adobe Illustrator 
• Adobe Photoshop 
• Adobe InDesign 

Additional experience with the following is a plus: 

• Adobe After Effects 
• Adobe Premiere Pro 
• Canva 
• Basic web graphics or digital design 

Applicants should be comfortable preparing files for both print and digital applications. 

Requirements 

• In-person position based in Covington, Louisiana 
• Available between May and August 2026 
• Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week 
• Must submit a design portfolio for consideration
